Sandy learned about the Church of the Brethren after she attended Open Circle Church, several district meetings, and visits to church camp. Rick won Sandy over and they were married 8/11/2012 at Open Circle Church. “
It only seemed appropriate that we asked our guests to donate gifts to our church since we combined two households. We are grateful that our wedding guests donated to the church and the District. We look forward to many more years sharing our time with Open Circle Church, Northern Plains District and Camp Pine Lake.” -Rick and Sandy Gingrich

“Like in many churches, my husband and I have been struggling on how to get our church to increase areas of outreach in our budget during these lean years. During District Conference last year there was talk about a donor matching gifts to the District up to $5000. We looked at each other and said, ‘This is the right time to give some extra money to the District to help make up for what we would like to be able to send through our church.’ So we made a gift to the matching fund during the weekend.” -Anonymous

“We made a donation to the District for the first time last fall. We are farmers and 2012 was a very unusual year for farmers weather wise. Our expectations for our crop were not high, although we were not expecting a disaster like some areas were going to experience. Our crop exceeded our expectations greatly and we felt only by the grace of God that this had happened. We decided to give an extra donation to the Church. Although we sometimes disagree on some of the Church’s positions on some of the issues, we feel that the Church of the Brethren is relevant and has several worthwhile programs. We knew that the District was doing a fundraising match and felt that our donation would be best used by our District. We’re also excited about all the new initiatives going on to enhance communications in the District. We feel that the District has never felt more unified.” -Ross and Sandi Cox
